본 연구실에서는 뼈와 이빨을 이루는 무기물 주성분인 hydroxyapatite 합성 및 응용에 관한 연구를 수행함
Hydroxyapatite의 크기 (size), 형태 (morphology), 결정성 (crystallinity), 표면전하 (surface charge), 표면화학종 (surface functionality)를 제어하여 생체적합성/기능이 우수한 바이오세라믹을 개발 중임
